Pirámides de Güímar: Address & Directions

How to Get to Pirámides de Güímar?

Pirámides de Güímar (Google Maps)

Pirámides de Güímar is located at Calle Chacona, s/n, 38500 Güímar, on the south-east coast of Tenerife, in the Valley of Güímar between the towns of Candelaria and Fasnia. The park provides its own parking at the main entrance and in a northern area of the grounds, so arriving by car is straightforward.

By Car: From Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the capital, it's about 27 kilometres (roughly 17 miles) via the TF-1 motorway, a drive of around 20 minutes. From Tenerife South Airport (Reina Sofía), the pyramids are about 42 kilometres (roughly 26 miles) away, a drive of about 27 minutes, also mostly along the TF-1.

If you're coming from the southern tourist resorts around Costa Adeje or Playa de las Américas, expect a drive of around 35 minutes covering roughly 56 kilometres (35 miles), again via the TF-1 northbound. Tenerife North Airport (Los Rodeos), near La Laguna, sits farther away, at roughly 35 to 40 kilometres from the Güímar area.

By Public Transport: TITSA, the island's bus operator, connects Güímar to the main hubs. From the Santa Cruz interchange (Intercambiador Sta. Cruz), line 121 runs to the pyramids directly in about 52 minutes, while line 120 covers the Santa Cruz to Güímar route in roughly an hour; both operate at approximately hourly frequency.

From Tenerife South Airport, line 711 runs to Güímar in about 46 minutes, also roughly hourly. From the southern resort area around Costa Adeje, a direct line 111 bus takes around 1 hour 34 minutes, or you can connect via the Santa Cruz interchange on line 120, which takes closer to 2 hours in total. Once you arrive in Güímar, it's a short local walk or taxi ride to the park entrance on Calle Chacona.

By Taxi or Rideshare: A taxi from Santa Cruz takes about 20 minutes, while a taxi from Tenerife South Airport takes around 27 minutes and costs noticeably more given the longer distance. Taxis and rideshares are a comfortable option if you're travelling with a group or prefer not to navigate the TF-1 yourself.
