Why Visit Parque Marítimo César Manrique?
César Manrique's final work
Parque Marítimo César Manrique was the last project the celebrated Lanzarote-born artist completed before his death, opening in 1995. His signature style runs through the whole site, from black volcanic rock to his trademark wind toys, making a visit as much about seeing his design language as it is about the pools.
Three saltwater pools built into the coastline
The complex holds three separate pools filled with crystal-clear seawater, including a main pool with artificial islands and a waterfall pool fed by cascades falling from more than 25 meters up. It's a different feel from a standard swimming pool, closer to a designed lagoon.
Right on the Santa Cruz waterfront
The park sits on the city's southern coast with views over the Auditorio de Tenerife and the Palmetum botanical garden next door, and it's easy to reach by car or public transport with parking on-site. That makes it simple to fold into a wider day of sightseeing in the capital.
Genuinely set up for families
Between the children's pool, the ludoteca playroom, and the seasonal Club de Manri programme of games, minigolf, and water and land "castles" for kids aged 3 to 13, there's structured entertainment for younger visitors, not just a paddling area.
Built for a full day out, not just a swim
Between the sunbed and umbrella rental, changing rooms and showers, gym, restaurant and buffet options, and a small shop for last-minute essentials, most of what you'd want for a day at the park is available on-site.
