From the South: If you are staying in Playa de las Américas, Los Cristianos, or Costa Adeje, the most efficient method is the dedicated Loro Parque bus service. These coaches require an advanced booking and a small additional fee, offering a direct return trip from major hotels and central meeting points.

Public Route 343: This is the direct public bus link between Tenerife South (Los Cristianos/Costa Adeje) and Puerto de la Cruz, with a travel time of approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes.

Driving and Parking

If you are traveling by car, follow the TF-5 motorway toward Puerto de la Cruz. Take exit 32 or 36 and follow the signs for "Loro Parque" or "Punta Brava."

Official Parking: The park has a private, secure parking lot (€7 per day).

Street Parking: Limited free parking is available on the streets surrounding the park, though spaces fill up quickly during peak morning hours.

Taxi

Taxis are readily available throughout the island. A taxi from within Puerto de la Cruz is a quick and affordable option. For those traveling from the south of the island, a taxi is the fastest but most expensive method.

Loro Parque provides a range of essential services to ensure a comfortable day for all visitors.

High-speed Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the park, allowing guests to access the digital park map and presentation schedules in real-time.

For those traveling with young children, pushchairs are available for rent at the entrance, subject to a refundable deposit.

To facilitate a full day of exploration, the park is equipped with secure lockers for storing personal belongings, located near the main entrance.

There are also several designated picnic and rest areas strategically placed along the shaded pathways, providing quiet spaces for families to take a break between exhibits.

Loro Parque is designed to be inclusive, with a majority of the park’s 33 acres accessible to visitors with reduced mobility. Most pathways are wide, paved, and step-free, ensuring that wheelchairs and mobility scooters can navigate between the different animal habitats and gardens without significant obstacles.

Wheelchair and Mobility Scooter Rentals

Manual wheelchairs are available for hire at the park entrance, subject to a refundable deposit. Motorized buggies (mobility scooters) may also be available to rent for the day; as availability can be limited, contact the park directly in advance to confirm current options and terms.

Presentations and Exhibits

All major presentation venues, including Orca Ocean, the Dolphinarium, and the Sea Lion theater, feature dedicated seating areas for wheelchair users. These sections are positioned to provide clear, unobstructed views of the animals and trainers. Key walk-through exhibits like Planet Penguin and the Aquarium are equipped with ramps and elevators, and the viewing glass in these areas is positioned at a height suitable for guests in wheelchairs.

Restrooms and Support

Fully adapted restrooms are located at various points throughout the park, clearly marked on the visitor map. These facilities include wide-access doors, support bars, and ample space for maneuvering. Additionally, visitors with an officially recognized disability of 60% or more are eligible for a reduced entry rate when purchasing tickets at the physical ticket counter (valid photo ID and disability certification required).

The park features several themed boutiques and a primary gift shop located near the exit in the Thai Village.

These stores offer a wide range of official merchandise, including high-quality plush toys of the park's most famous residents, such as the orcas and penguins. Visitors can also find sustainable products, branded apparel, and unique handicrafts that reflect the park’s commitment to nature.

For those looking for a more personal memento, the shops provide a variety of educational books, postcards, and DVD documentaries about the Loro Parque Fundación’s conservation efforts. All purchases made within the park shops contribute directly to the funding of global environmental and animal protection projects.
